Clean Gold Jewellery Baking Soda. Baking soda is a natural and environmentally friendly way to clean your gold. If your gold contains pearls, avoid cleaning it with baking soda.
Now pour soda on the gold and immerse it in the mixture. You can also use baking soda and boiling water to clean your gold. Paper towels can scratch gold jewelry, especially high karat gold.
Try baking soda: For heavier tarnish, mix three parts baking soda to one part water.
Make a paste with baking soda to scrub tarnished items, or soak semi-dirty pieces in a baking soda solution.
Work it into the crevices and turn the cloth. The solution is, however, not suitable for jewelry that contains pearls. You can replace water with white vinegar (optional).
